Hannie's Garden Quilt

I started this quilt about three years ago.  Hexagons where in and I jumped on the band wagon.  The pattern for this quilt was different than anything I had ever done at the time.  It was a pretty technical way of doing and it stretched my ability back then.

The quilt was made of some of my favorite fat quarters.  I wasn't able to find a dark gray cotton print so I ended up using a corduroy.  I love the texture that it gives the quilt.

For the back I used minki.  But sadly my quilter didn't realize that the minki wasn't double sided and she put the wrong side out.  At first I was devastated, but I am over it and still love the quilt.

For some reason I didn't make my white boarder long enough on one side before sending it to get quilted.  So to fix it I added a label. This is one of my first labels! (I really need to label my quilts more often!)

Since this quilt took so long to finish, the fabrics I used where gone so there where not matching colors to bind it in.  I choose a colorful striped print and love love love it!
