Circle Rag Quilt

This is a circle rag quilt made of flannel. It was my first attempt at making a rag quilt. I made it with scraps from many different flannel pieces, so the circle pattern is not as prominent. But when the circle pattern is done with a similar color scheme it turns out really neat!

• It is machine quilted around the stars and the small blocks next to the stars. (The large squares were left without quilting.)
• The colors are red, yellow, cream and brown (the picture makes it look black, but it is a dark chocolate brown).

All 4 corners have pieced flowers.

There are 4 simple butterflies with hand embroidered antennae.

Zoo Animal Quilt

The animals on this quilt were designed to look like the animals on the backing of the quilt (the backing was also used as the large square blocks).
