My Newest Project (Double Hour Glass Blocks)

I had this pile of fat quarters I got on Black Friday. I loved the bright colors and was going to do a Drunkards Path type quilt with them. But it just didn't feel right. So, they sat on my shelf calling my name every time I would walk into my craft room. I searched my craft magazines and scoured the Internet looking for the perfect pattern.

Finally I stumbled upon this website:

Allison Harris has a fun blog and tons of great quilts. I fell in love with her Double Hourglass quilt and the fun and easy way she creates the block.

The blocks go together so quickly and easily. I started out using a template like she did, but about half way through I realized I had 90 degree ruler that worked even better. Better late than never.

I have about 25 blocks done. I'm not sure how many blocks I'll do or how big the quilt will be. I'm just going with the flow and enjoying making these blocks. It is sure a great destresser.
