UFO #6: Thangles Quilt

Three years ago when I joined my first Quilt Guild, they taught us how to used Thangles.  Thangles are a paper piecing pattern that helps you make accurate half square triangles quickly and easily.  Thangles were super easy and fun to do.  Each month we received two new patterns to try using our Thangles.

At the end of the quilt guild year we ended up with 12 finished blocks.  I of course choose to put orange with mine.  For the most part I am glad I did it and was happy with how the blocks turned out.  However, this is not my favorite quilt.  There are blocks int there that I don't care for at all (patter wise).  And this was done when I was still a beginning quilter so my blocks are not as precise.

I decided to just finish it with a simple white sashing.  It turned out well enough.

I didn't want to put the time, money, and effort into fishing it so I gave it to my local Linus foundation where they will tie it and give it to someone in need.
