UFO #9: Fussy Cut Bug Baby Quilt

I got the bug material back in 2009 on my first "Shop Hop". I love the colors and the picture within it so I knew that some part of the quilt had to have a big panel.

I decided to fussy cut the bugs out and frame them with blue, yellow, maroon, and green.  Each block around is unique; not one is the same. The boarder is little bits of scraps all sewn together.  And it is finished with a scrappy binding.

It started out as a baby quilt, but then I thought maybe wall hanging, but decided to finish it as a baby quilt.  It was impossible to find a matching fabric for the backing since I started the quilt so long ago.  But I found the backing on clearance a week ago.  It is brighter then most of the fabrics on the front, but matches the bright maroon in the panel perfectly.
