Here is a quiet book that I made for my little girl. It was so much fun to make.
The pages are connected by rings that go through sturdy eyelets. It is closed with a snap.
Inside cover page: This page is a zipper pocket. I chose to make a matching/memory game to put into the pocket. The matching game can be educational in many ways from learning shapes, colors, and matching.
Page 1: Finger Puppet Barn Animals. The barn doors open and close. It includes 4 animals, a cow, horse, chicken, and pig that are finger puppets. The barn window acts like a stage where you can put your finger up under the barn and poke out the animals through the window.
Page 2: Noah's Ark Zipper Pocket. Kids can practice their zipper skills while hiding little animal figures in the pocket.
Page 3: Flower Vase. On this page the flowers can be taken out and put back into the vase. Also the bees are Velcroed on and can be removed.
Pages 4 & 5: Dress the Boy and Girl. On this page the clothes can be stored in the basket and can also be hung up on the close line. Then those clothes can be used to dress the boy and girl.
Page 6: Hair. On this page kids can learn to braid hair and how to tie bows.
Page 7: Counting. There are two types of beads on each string. Kids move the correct number of beads over to the corresponding number. You can also practice adding; 1+6 add all the beads. My numbers are sewn on, but maybe they should be removable with Velcro?
Page 8 & 9: Cars. These pages have roads to drive toy cars on. For older kids "Micro Machine" cars would be fun. There is a pocket in the lower right hand corner to store the cars.
Page 10: You've Got Mail! The mail box lid opens and you can slide letters into the mail box. The read flag moves up and down also. There is a pocket to hold paper and one to hold a pencil.
Page connected to back cover: Letters. The button pocket contains 40 letters. I made a black line were kids can practice spelling words.
Cost: ?? The materials alone were $20. Give me a bid.
