Ruffle Skirt

I love the new ruffle material they now make. Even better, I love when I can find it on sale at Hobby Lobby.

I saw this pattern on Project Run and Play (a supper fun blog of kids cloths). I couldn't find any white shorts so I cut a pair of stretchy pants into shorts. Then I followed the tutorial and wallah. A super easy, super cute skirt that is great for playing in.

She does love it, this is just her serous "I'm modeling" face.

Now to find the ruffle fabric in a more grown-up color. :0)

Snowman Wal l Hanging

Last December I finished this snowman wall hanging. I decided I had better post some pictures since it is about time to take it down.

This was a mystery quilt that a local quilt shop put together. The cost was $35 for all the supplies except for the boarders, binding, and backing. Each week, for 5 weeks, I picked up a kit. At the end they gave us all the embelishments (buttons, snowflacks, etc.). I love how it turned out. I even did a bit of free-quilting on the snowballs at the top.

Ruffle Dress

I love making my little girl dresses and skirts. It is satisfying because, unlike quilting, the finished product can get done much quicker. Also, she loves, loves, LOVES to wear dresses. When I was trying the dress on for size, before it was complete, my little girl said, "So pretty! Can I wear it forever?"

(Don't look to close, it already has food stains. :(

This dress is one of my finished favorites. I love all the ruffles and gathers. And the matching material is so cute! The front has a vertical ruffle which just tied everything together.

PS Please disregard her messy hair. It was one of those days.
